Baby born during coronavirus pandemic is named ‘Sanitiser’ by parents

New parents whose baby was born during the Covid-19 crisis chose to name their child ‘Sanitiser’ with the dad saying: “Whenever people will talk of corona, they will remember that it was sanitiser that saved them”

It’s a strange time to be bringing new life into the world amid unprecedented lockdowns and so much uncertainty during the coronavirus crisis.

But two new parents have chosen for their child to act as a reminder of the time – and the safety measures we are using in an attempt to stay safe.

With people being urged to keep their hands clean to reduce the rate of transmission, the pair decided to call their child Sanitiser.

They said they chose the name as the disinfectant has the capacity to fight against the virus, and added that medical staff were left smiling when they announced what they were going to call their child.

“Whenever people will talk of corona, they will remember that it was sanitiser that saved them,” said dad Omvir Singh, from Saharanpur in India, as reported by kidsport
