Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey donates $3M to providing legal defense for arrested protesters

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey is making a $3 million donation to former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick’s legal fund dedicated to paying legal costs of rioters who are arrested amid the ongoing protests over the death of George Floyd.

Kaepernick announced that he has pulled together a team of first-rate defense attorneys, but that he wanted others to contribute to the cause as it expands nationwide.

Dorsey’s donation is the latest in a series of significant investments he has made to social causes, including a reported $1 billion donation to COVID-19 relief.
